GLX Launch



We were tasked with creating a large-scale event by one of our loyal clients for a game-changing product launch.

The brief was as follows:

  • Major product launch to retailer network
  • Make it look different to “our usual” events
  • 350+ delegates attending
  • Black box venue
  • Requires theme
  • Would like Giggabox to provide all the video content in a different way to engage
  • Support the Head of Events with development of content
  • Only 1.5 days for the install
  • Strict budget control

We were excited to use our creativity to work alongside the events team. We wanted to create an event to exceed expectations of our client and the delegates attending. Our client was releasing an amazing product and the event had to match up.

Solution

We worked together as a team to create a solution:

  • Let our creative juices flow to show that corporate events can be entertaining
  • Develop the “Grand” theme and carried this through the event
  • Delivered the overarching visual concept to bring the event space to life
  • Opened the main plenary staging up to create a feeling of added space
  • Stage lit with atmospheric, theatrical lighting to give depth and drama
  • Built giant 9metre high ‘X’ onto which we projection mapped relevant imagery
  • Filmed and produced fresh, modern video content to support presentations
  • Created 5 different “zones” for different activates
  • A series of “reveals” throughout the event to create a sense of wonder & surprise
  • Staggered crew working to cope with massively constrained build time

The Outcomes

The meticulous planning on the event by the team was key to ensure that it was carried out without a hitch. Here are the outcomes we came away with:
