Nutanix is a global cloud computing company that sells hyper-converged infrastructure software, cloud services, and software-defined storage. Nutanix software unifies private, public, and distributed clouds, and empowers IT to deliver applications and data that power their business.

Giggabox have been working closely with Nutanix for over 4 months now. What started with just their UK branch, has now expanded to include the United States and Asia-Pacific regions. Nutanix were looking at ways to increase awareness and generate leads for their cloud-based solutions. The Nutanix team decided that a virtual event series would be one way to stand out from competitors and continue to show their best in class subject knowledge. This series was to be branded as The Cloud Counsel and would include weekly thought-panel discussions including numerous guests with a wealth of knowledge transfer. With the help of Giggabox’s virtual event solutions, Nutanix has continued to produce engaging content for their audience.

With all virtual events, preparation is key. Much of the work for a production company comes in the weeks leading up to an event to ensure that everything on the day is a delivered smoothly. This includes:

  • Producing custom backgrounds for the sessions
  • Providing lower thirds for each of the speakers
  • Creating a title sequence to introduce the virtual event
  • Sequentially adding all playable content into the software
  • Preparing speakers before hand

For each virtual event episode, the Giggabox team live stream the content to the clients preferred platform. Numerous tests are undertaken in the lead up to ensure the stream quality is maintained throughout.

Each Cloud Counsel episode broadcasts for 30 minutes, and includes an opening sequence, introductions, discussions and a question and answer segment. Features that are available in the delivery of the show include:

  • We can pre-record the shows or part of the show
  • Episodes are on-demand within 2 hours of show finishing
  • Ability to ask live questions from the audience watching
  • Promotional graphics during the pre-event
  • On screen graphics throughout

After the virtual event, the virtual events team edited the content to allow the client an on-demand version that could be added to their website and social media.

The Giggabox team also created shorter edits for social media clips.
